| Details: | 12th February 2010 The aim of this workshop is to explore opportunities in the region to harness cashable savings from spend on temp staff, interims and consultants and consider steps to secure these savings It will have a strong focus on identifying opportunities and practical actions that authorities can take to secure savings from their spend on agency workers, interims, specialist contractors and consultancy. The session will include: -
Findings from the recent national survey on professional services procurement (including the West Midlands regional view) An introduction to the Consultancy Value Programme A structured way to addressing consultancy procurement Managing Demand for agency workers and interims Addressing agency workers in specialist areas e.g. Social Care Real examples - presentations from local authorities on their initiatives and successes Developing plans for next steps Which opportunities do we want to address and how should we do it? |
